My name is Wolf (short for Wolfgang) and my "den" is a repository for
the many musical creations I've penned since 1970. As I now look back
at more than 50 years of life, it seems more important than ever to
make my music available to anyone that would find it useful. Ever since
my parents named me after the musical genius Mozart, I have tried to
live up to that name. Of course, I've failed miserably. But I like to
think that I have done some good with the talents that God has given
me. If you want to know more about my background, go to the About Wolf page.
My mission:
To offer quality sheet music for both sacred and secular use at
affordable prices.
To me, music composition is as much a science as it is an art. My music
is composed/arranged with strict regard for the rules of harmony.
If you're like most musicians, you're always craving new music. But who
wants to pay a lot of
money for a music book just to get one title they're interested in? At Wolf's Music Den every title is
available separately so you're not
forced to buy material you don't want. Plus, you can see a Page Preview and listen to a MIDI Demo* of any
title before you buy. Receive
music in PDF format by
e-mail** or receive
laser-printed hardcopies by
mail for a few dollars more.
To provide personalized service and assure that any special
needs of the customer are met.
Perhaps you direct an instrumental ensemble and like some of the pieces
I offer here. But the instrumentations don't quite match what you've
got. Just communicate your special situation and I will provide whatever substitute parts
you need, no extra charge! Maybe you've already purchased a
title but realize that it would serve you better in a different key.
For example, vocal music that's too high or low for the intended voice.
Simply request a particular key
and receive the transposed version at no additional cost!
To assist others in their efforts to share their original music
with the public.
I have been a published composer since the early '90s. It was, and
still is, hard to get anything published in the traditional way. (Discuss this topic with me
if you wish.) If you are a composer and want people to have ready
access to your music, I can help you. Send your rough drafts and I will professionally typeset your
music. After that, you can publish it
on the internet, just like I am doing, without having to give up
90% of its sale price to the publisher. (That's right, publishers
typically give the composer a mere 10% royalty!)
*Note:
Organ sounds, in particular,
are very difficult to realize with MIDI with the same expressiveness
and subtle timbre changes that are possible with the real thing, so
please regard the MIDI Demos as rough approximations. With real
instruments, your results should be much better.
**Note:
Automatic uploading of files to you upon
payment is the goal, but it has not yet been implemented. Until then, I
aim to e-mail your PDFs manually within 24 hours of your order. I
apologize in advance for any faults
you may encounter in the functionality of this web site and I hope you
will bring them to my
attention so I can fix them and provide the best possible
experience for all my visitors. Thank you.
